Burnsville, MN is located twenty minutes south from either downtown Minneapolis or downtown Saint Paul and offers convenient access to the Minneapolis/Saint Paul International Airport. The land that is now the city of Burnsville has had five owners. First the Mdewakanton Sioux American Indians. Then Spain laid claim to it, and France obtained possession in 1682.
